Maldives President arrives India on three-day state visit

NEW DELHI - Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed arrived here on Wednesday evening on a three-day state visit.
He will address the inaugural session of the World Conference on ‘Recreating South Asia: Democracy, Social Justice and Sustainable Development’ at the India International Center here on Thursday.
President Nasheed will meet United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday evening.
He will meet the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, at his 7 Race Course Road residence on Friday morning, which would be followed by a call on by Minister of State for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh and External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna.
President Nasheed will leave for Colombo on Friday evening. (ANI)
