WASHINGTON - Former US Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, has said that if America could have managed to capture Osama bin Laden, an FBI most-wanted terrorist for more than a decade, he would have been likely sent to Guantanamo Bay prison on the island of Cuba.

“He’d probably be subjected to a military commission,” Politico quoted Rumsfeld, as saying.

Although he admitted that not finding bin Laden was a ‘failure’, he tried to safeguard his department’s image saying: “We wanted to find him and we haven’t. The FBI has a 10 most wanted, some of them there on the list for 3, 4, 8, 10, 15 years. A manhunt is not what the Department of Defense is organized, trained, and equipped to do.”

On a lighter note, Rumsfeld said that he would not have laid eyes on the dreaded terrorist even if he was captured, adding: “He’s not my type.” (ANI)
