DANDABADI - Maoists in Dandabadi village in Orissa on Friday killed a tribal, suspecting him of colluding with the police.amily members of the murdered tribal, Narasingh Wadekka, said around 20-30 Maoists came and dragged him away along with his son. They spared the son but killed the father.
“They took us and asked lot of questions. My father asked them time and again about his mistakes, but they did not answer him and slit his throat,” said Ramesh, Wadekka’s son, who was also taken away by them.
Police officials refused to make an official comment but said Wadekka must have been killed for opposing the Maoists in some way.hey said another motive for the murder could be to create fear among the locals.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has described the Maoist insurgents as India’s biggest internal security challenge.(ANI)
