WASHINGTON - Fifty-one percent of Americans who say that they will vote in next year’s Republican primary do not believe that US President Barack Obama was born in the US, according to a new poll.
According to the New York Daily News, results of the Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey state that 51 percent of those questioned think Obama was born outside the US.
That percentage is up from 44 percent from when PPP asked the same question in August 2009, when 36 percent said that Obama was definitely born in the US.
In the new poll, only 28 percent of those surveyed believe he was born in the US and 21 percent are unsure.
PPP surveyed 400 Republican primary voters nationwide from February 11 to 13.
The poll has a margin error of plus or minus 4.9 percent. (ANI)
