Naxal leader arrested in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR - The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) apprehended a top Naxal leader in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district.

Sankhu alias Biju, ‘chief’ of Dandakaranya area and member of Pipragarh ‘dalam’ (group), who was arrested with four kilograms of explosives and a gun on Thursday was later handed over to the local police.

He was arrested during a ’search and ambush’ operation by the security forces.

Some Naxal literature was also recovered from him. (ANI)
