LONDON - Three prison officers in UK have been charged with having “sex for favours” with female inmates.
Russell Thorne, 40, Christopher Bevan, 35 and Simon Dykes, 45, are said to have had sex with nine prisoners over the past four years, the Daily Express reported.
The men have been suspended from their jobs at Downview prison in Sutton, Surrey.
They denied a total of 10 charges of wilful misconduct in a public office during a brief appearance at Guildford Crown Court. The alleged offences relate to sexual intercourse, sexual touching and a sex act.
Thorne denies two charges of having sex with a female prisoner, and Bevan has also denied two charges of having sex with a female inmate.
Dykes denied four charges of having sex with a prisoner, one of sexual touching and one involving a sex act.
Thorne and Bevan, of Sutton, and Dykes, of Westcott, near Dorking, Surrey, have been released on bail, and they are due to stand trial on June 6. (ANI)
