Plan to disintegrate Pakistan foiled: Rehman Malik
By ANIFriday, January 28, 2011
ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Army and the government jointly managed to foil a plan to disintegrate the country, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said.
Malik claimed that a plan to dismember Balochistan had been foiled, and that the law and order situation in the province had improved.
“We have got the blue print of the disintegration plan”, but we managed to foil it, The Nation quoted Malik, as saying while briefing media persons in Islamabad.
“I am ready to give an in-camera briefing to the Parliament”, said the Interior Minister, adding that “no compromise can be made on the sovereignty of the country”.
He also ruled out any amendment in Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, saying that there should be no division in terms of religion inside the country. (ANI)
