Only 1 in 10 British office staff wears a suit daily

LONDON - A new survey has confirmed the changing attitudes to office attire in Britain.
It found that only one in 10 office staff still wears a suit to work on a daily basis.
The study shows traditional formal attire is being replaced by much more casual clothing, with 37 percent wearing a suit and tie only when they have an important meeting, reports the Daily Mail.
Thirty-eight percent wear jeans at least once a week, with only 18 percent of workers regularly wearing a tie.
It seems this trend is likely to grow over coming years, with two-thirds of them believing dress codes will continue to relax.
“The research shows British employees are becoming ever more liberated in terms of their appearance,” said Paul Say, head of marketing at online bank First Direct, which commissioned the study.
“A third of workers say a casual dress code would boost productivity and nearly two thirds feel it would ultimately make them happier,” he added. (ANI)
