LONDON - A former bodyguard for Adolf Hitler has given up on fan mail. The 93-year-old says it is “no longer possible” due to age.

More than 65 years after the World War Two, Hitler’s last surviving bodyguard has said that he can no longer respond to mails asking for autographs.

“They (the letters] come from Korea, from Knoxville, Tennessee, from Finland and Iceland - and not one has a bad word to say,” the Scotsman quoted Rochus Misch as telling the Berliner Kurier tabloid.

He previously used to send fans an autographed photo of himself wearing the Nazi SS uniform.

However, the requests are now piling up in his flat in south Berlin’s leafy Rudow neighbourhood.

Misch, who held the rank of Oberscharfhrer in the 1st SS Division Leibstandarte, also served as Hitler’s telephone operator and courier and was present in the Nazi leader’s bunker in the final days of the conflict. (ANI)
