MANALI - Scores of tourists thronged Himachal Pradesh’s Manali town on Tuesday to witness the fresh snowfall.

“Snow in Manali is one of the best, probably next to Switzerland or equivalent to Switzerland. This season is really making it good. I have come with my friends. It is really amazing,” said Darshan, a tourist.

Another tourist Kabir said that Manali is a world-class place for winter sports, as the region is equipped with good quality sports facilities.

“Solang Nala is quite an amazing spot; it is crazy here. Right now things are bit slow here. There is not much going here because of heavy snowfall here. But two to three days ago, this place was packed. There were paragliders coming in, the zorb balls coming down the hills,” said Kabir.

Skiing, snowboarding, sledging, horse riding, snow biking, and paragliding are some of the activities tourists have been indulging in here.

The snowfall has also brought cheer to the local hoteliers, who expect an encouraging turnout of tourists over the next couple of weeks. (ANI)
