TUCSON - US officials have revealed that they have photos of the suspected Arizona shooter posing with a Glock semi-automatic pistol while wearing a red G-string a night before the rampage
Six people were killed and 13 were injured, including Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords, when 22-year-old Jared L. Loughner opened fire outside a supermarket in Arizona on January 8.
According to the New York Times, on January 7, Loughner had dropped off at a drugstore a roll of 35-millimeter film containing images that he had shot of himself posing with a gun and dressed only in a bright red G-string.
The authorities said that he picked up the film early on the day of the shooting.
In some of the photos Loughner is holding the gun near his crotch, and in others, presumably taken in a mirror, he is holding the gun next to his buttocks, the paper said.
It was not clear when the photos were taken.
Earlier, evidence seized from Loughner’s house had revealed that he had planned to ‘assassinate’ Giffords.
Giffords, who represents Arizona’s Eighth District in the south-eastern corner of the state, has been an outspoken critic of Arizona’s tough immigration law, which is focused on identifying, prosecuting and deporting illegal immigrants.
She had also come under criticism for her vote in favour of the Democrats’ health care law. (ANI)
