NAGPUR - Farmers in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district protested on Monday against the export ban of various agricultural products by the state government.

Opposing the government’s decision to ban export of cotton and onion, agitated farmers under the leadership of state legislator Bachu Kadu have decided to forcibly export the two items to Dubai.

Criticising the Central and the state government, Kadu said that on one hand they talk about the welfare of farmers but on the other hand put a ban on the export and import on agricultural products.

“Why is a ban on export of agricultural products? …. There is no ban on sugarcane export. Why is there no banning parameter on export on cotton, sugarcane and paddy? So we are going to break the export ban. We will directly go to Dubai and whosoever stops us, we will attack them. We will go to Dubai where the farmers will get correct value of their products,” said Kadu. (ANI)
