MANHATTAN (GaeaTimes.com)- The law enforcement officials arrested a male model Renato Seabra after Carlos De Castro’s body was found in a New York hotel room on Friday. Carlos De Castro was a Portuguese journalist and a gay rights activist. Police reported that Renato Seabra used to stay with the journalist in InterContinental Times Square and he was taken into custody after he was seen at a New York hospital where he received treatments for wounds on his wrists. Police said that he has been transported to Bellevue. The pair has, reportedly, been dating for few months.

Carlos De Castro was sexually mutilated and beaten to death during a violent fight with his lover, the law enforcement officials reported. New York Police Department officials said that the suspect was admitted to New York City’s Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation on Saturday. Police said that he is being held at the hospital and he would probably be charged with murder. The investigators are of the opinion that Renato Seabra attacked the journalist after their verbal spat went out of control. A source close has claimed that before the trip, Renato Seabra told his friends that he is not a gay and he was with Carlos De Castro for his money.

The law enforcement officials found Carlos De Castro’s body when his friend Wanda Pires went to the hotel along with her daughter as they could not contact him for a long time. Wanda Pires told police that the victim had told him earlier that he was scared of his boyfriend Renato Seabra as he feels that the 20-year-old was acting weird.
