Maoists blast railway control room in Orissa

ROURKELA - Maoist rebels blew up the control room of Bandamunda railway station near Orissa’s Rourkela city on Sunday morning.
A railway employee, who wished to remain anonymous, said that there were more than 70 to 80 Maoists, who blew up the control room.
“I have not seen them but they were more than 70 to 80 people,” said a railway employee.
According to railway employees, the Maoists also detained around a dozen employees, who were inside the control room at the time of attack, but freed them after some time.
It has been reported that the main purpose behind capturing those employees was to threaten them.
The Maoists claimed responsibility for the attack, and left behind posters at the spot threatening of more such strikes.
The ultras also invited youngsters to join their crusade. (ANI)
