John McCarthy Roll Killed In Tucson Shooting

TUCSON (GaeaTimes.com)- John McCarthy Roll, the federal judge of Arizona was killed by a gunman on Saturday morning when he open fired at a meeting outside a Tucson grocery shop. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was also severely wounded in the shooting which claimed five other lives and injured many. Judge John McCarthy Roll was 63-years-old. His death has been confirmed by U. S. President Barack Obama in a statement. John McCarthy Roll is survived by his wife Maureen, his three children and five grandchildren.
The politicians and other public servants from all over the country has expressed their deepest condolence at the tragic demise of the federal judge and called it a great loss. U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts expressed his condolence in a statement where he stated that the judiciary of United States has suffered a great loss at the unfortunate demise of the federal judge. He called John McCarthy Roll as a wise jurist who served his country selflessly. John Roberts stated that the tragic death of the federal judge is a reminder of rule of law’s importance and also the sacrifices of people who work hard to secure it.
U.S. Senator John McCain issued a statement where he condemned the attack and also expressed his condolence at the tragic demise of the former chief judge of United States District Court of Arizona. Judge Stephen McNamee expressed his sadness and said that John McCarthy Roll was a scholar of the law who was respectful and kind to everyone. U. S. Vice President Joe Biden stated that John McCarthy Roll’s death is a loss to the state and the whole country.
