Elizabeth Edwards’ Funeral Planned For Saturday

RALEIGH (GaeaTimes.com)- The funeral service of Elizabeth Edwards would be taking place on Saturday at Raleigh in the state of North Carolina, an Edwards family spokesperson has revealed. According to the spokesperson, the last rites of the estranged wife of ex-presidential candidate Jon Edwards would be carried out at the Edenton Street United Methodist Church at around 1 on Saturday afternoon. Elizabeth Edwards breathed her last on Tuesday at her North Carolina home in the presence of her family members and friends. The noted attorney passed away just a day after it was announced that her condition had worsened after the cancer spread to her liver and any further treatment would remain unproductive.
Elizabeth Edwards funeral service in the Raleigh church is going to be a highly emotional affair for her family not only because of her demise but also owing to the fact that it is the same church where the last rites of Edwards’ teenage son Wade was held when he passed away in the car crash few years ago. Family sources have divulged that Elizabeth Edwards would be buried near her son in the Oakland Cemetery which is located near the Edenton Street United Methodist Church.
