Most Christmas Day family bust-ups take place at 7pm in UK

LONDON - A study has found that a quarter of families in Britain usually have a bust-up between 7pm and 9pm on Christmas Day, and the reason for it is because they argue over what to watch on TV.

Researchers interviewed 2,000 adults and found that the average family watches four and a half hours of TV per day over Christmas, the Daily Mail reported.

The study found that the television is even behind arguments from 8am, barely before presents have been opened.

The most popular time to sit down and watch it as a family is between 3pm and 4pm on Christmas Day but a third will have the set on while they open their presents, and one in five have it on as they tuck into their dinner.

The survey, commissioned by TV channel GOLD, found comedy shows were the most popular programmes with ‘Only Fools and Horses’ the nation’s favourite. (ANI)
