Picasso Paintings Found

PARIS, FRANCE (GaeaTimes.com)- Around 271 unseen works of Pablo Picasso were brought to the limelight by an old French electrician who found the paintings in his garage. Pierre Le Guennec, 71 who once worked for the legendary painter once, has claimed that art works were given to him by Pablo Picasso himself at the artist’s Cote d’Azur home when the former electrician carried out odd jobs for him. The collection of art works is being presumed to belong to the period between 1900 to 1932, which is often considered to be among the most creative period of the iconic painter.
While revealing details of how the never-before-seen paintings of Pablo Picasso were found, Picasso Administration lawyer Jean-Jacques Neuer said that Pierre Le Guennec showed the arts works that was with him to the artist’s son Claude Picasso and some of the estate administrators in the month of September in a bid to have the paintings certified as authentic. However, Pablo Picasso’s son suspected that the art works might have been stolen and as a result a lawsuit was filed later for alleged illegal receipt of the large number of paintings. At the same time, the lawyer also revealed that as of mow, police officials have are in the process of investigating that how the former electrician and his wife got hold of the nearly 300 unseen Pablo Picasso paintings.
Meanwhile, Claude Picasso has reiterated that although his iconic father was known for his generosity, whenever he gifted some of his paintings, he always made it a point to sign them as he was well aware of the fact that some of the recipients might attempt to sell them in the future.
