Two militants arrested in Imphal

IMPHAL - Manipur Police arrested two cadre of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) militant outfit.

Jogesandra Hoagie, Assistant Superintendent of Thoubal District Police said the duo arrested were involved in a series of crimes.

The police officials have also seized huge amount of drugs.

Based on specific information input that some huge drugs were being smuggled, a team of commandos apprehended one smuggler along with two sets of SP tablets.

In Manipur various militants’ outfits, which are active, include the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), the Military Council faction of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-MC), the People’s United Liberation Front (PULF), the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), and the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA).

The areas bordering the State of Nagaland have been affected by the activities of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM). (ANI)
