Afghan-bound NATO supply convoys caused 82bn-rupee damage to Pak roads: Minister

ISLAMABAD - The supply convoys for NATO in Afghanistan have caused around 82 billion dollars worth of damage to Pakistan’s communication network, Communications Minister Arbab Alamgir has said.

Alamgir said about 500 trucks with supplies for NATO forces travel from Karachi to Afghanistan on a daily basis.

The Daily Times quoted him, assaying that these heavy trucks were damaging Pakistan’s roads and highways.

The government had taken up this issue with NATO, but no progress had been made in this regard, the minister rued. (ANI)
