Four Maoists arrested in Orissa

GAJAPATI - Police arrested four Maoists after a brief encounter with them at Gopinath village in Orissa’s Gajapati district.
Sanjeev Arora, Superintendent of Police, said: “The rebels in the age group of 20 to 35 years were arrested after a gunfight that lasted for about an hour here.”
“One SBML gun, some Maoist literature, uniforms and some explosives have also been seized from them,” he added.
Meanwhile, after their arrest, the villagers marched into the nearby Police station where the Maoists were detained.
They accused that the arrested men were forcibly detained on false charges. (ANI)
