Suicide bombing kills two policemen in Pak

ISLAMABAD - At least two policemen were killed and 10 others injured in a suicide bomb attack in Swabi district in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday morning.

According to the Nation, five unidentified militants were involved in attack outside the Shah Mansoor compound of police offices and residences in Swabi, 100 kilometres northwest of Islamabad.

One of the attackers later managed to reach near the compound’s gate and detonated his suicide jacket.

“Two policemen were martyred and 10 others were injured when a suicide bomber exploded himself after being stopped at the main gate,” a police official said.

Swabi District Police Officer (DPO) chief Ejaz Khan said that one militant was shot dead, but the other three managed to escape.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, while heavy contingent of police have cordoned off the area. (ANI)
