AURANGABAD - Police in Bihar’s Aurangabad District foiled a Maoist bid to blow up a school building on Thursday.

Police said the maoists had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in the rural school, but the bomb disposal squad of the Bihar Police along and personnel of the Special Task Force were successful in defusing the device.

One constable, however, was injured in the explosion.

Aurangabad district, which is a Maoist hub, will go for elections in the last phase on November 20. (ANI)
