GAYA - Violence erupted in Bihar’s Gaya District as members of two communities clashed following a dispute over a religious procession.

Four persons, including a security officer sustained injuries in the incident.

People from a community objected to the loudspeakers accompanying the procession. An idol of Goddess Durga was being transported for immersion at the time.

Angry mobs torched two vehicles and set fire to three huts in Baradih village.

“The situation is under control. There is no problem anywhere,” said Sanjay Singh, the Gaya District Magistrate. By Surya Pratap SinghANI)
