NYT names Hugo Lindgren as NYT Magazine editor

NEW YORK — The New York Times Co. said Thursday that it named Hugo Lindgren editor of The New York Times Magazine, starting Oct. 25.

Lindgren will be taking over from Gerry Marzorati, who is moving to another position at the newspaper.

Lindgren, 42, has worked as Bloomberg Businessweek’s executive editor since March. Before that, he worked as New York magazine’s editorial director. He also worked as an editor at The New York Times Magazine in the past.

Shares of The New York Times remained unchanged in late-afternoon trading.
