LONDON - A number of people who have been seeking legal services online at leading London chambers 39 Essex Street have instead been sent to a website offering hardcore pornography.

The chamber, which is headed by Richard Wilmot-Smith QC, is showcased at www.39essexstreet.co.uk, which promises “solid and clear advice on a range of public law issues”.t also claims to have “the most talented and knowledgeable individuals on board”.

But those who have been seeking their legal services have instead been offered webcam sex and a live nude chat.

And a search facility on the site which says, “Not quite what you are looking for?” has been placed next to a button saying, “Spank it”.

It emerged that a Chinese company has been demanding 50,000 dollars to hand over the domain name since cybersquatting it a week ago.

The chambers has said that it is “considering its options” with its own lawyers but has no intention of being held to ransom.

“This is highly irritating. We will be issuing a statement pointing out that this is not our domain name,” the Sun quoted chambers director Michael Meeson as saying. (ANI)
