Palin-Beck 9/11 event likely to draw fans, foes

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A joint appearance by Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck in Anchorage is expected to bring out two different crowds on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Fans who paid between $73.75 and $225 for tickets will gather inside the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center on Saturday night to see the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee introduce the conservative commentator.

Outside, protesters plan to wave signs denouncing Palin and Beck as fearmongers.

Beck’s representatives say he is donating his speaking fee to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides scholarships and services to families of military members. They’re not saying how much he’s making.

The representatives say Palin is not receiving a fee.
