MUNGER - Explosives including gelatin sticks, detonators and large stocks of ammonium nitrate were confiscated during a routine combing operation by police personnel in Bihar’s Munger District on Saturday.

Sunil Nayak, Superintendent of Police said the consignment was recovered after the police raided the hut of a villager.

The villager claimed explosives were meant for illegal mining, but has been detained for allegedly supplying explosives to Maoist radicals, who were active in the region.

“One person, named Abdul Sattar, has been arrested in the case and is being interrogated right now,” said Sunil Nayak. (ANI)
