‘Expendables’ endures at No. 1 with $17 million

LOS ANGELES — Sylvester Stallone’s action tale “The Expendables” led the box-office for a second-straight weekend with $17 million.

A rush of newcomers had so-so debuts, led by the “Twilight” spoof “Vampires Suck,” which opened at No. 2 with $12.2 million.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:
