SHANGHAI - A man in Shanghai literally hit the jackpot winning 259 million yuan ($38 million) in a lottery after buying five tickets.

The man spent 200 yuan on the five tickets, which he bought at a lottery station in Shanghai’s Yangpu district, the China Daily reported.

The winner’s jackpot is second only to a man from Henan, who spent 176 yuan to buy 88 lottery tickets and later won a record 359.9 million yuan in October 2009.
