Police: Pa. man killed, partly dismembered brother

FAWN GROVE, Pa. — Police say a Pennsylvania man admitted fatally shooting his brother during an argument and partially dismembering his body.

State police in York County say 21-year-old Justin Carbaugh killed his brother, Brandon, on Wednesday and cut off his fingers and part of his leg.

Investigators say Justin Carbaugh confessed when troopers were called to the house Thursday.

According to a police affidavit, he said he and his brother fought, and Brandon Carbaugh put his hand on his own weapon, prompting Justin Carbaugh to shoot.

Police say Carbaugh shot his brother three times before retrieving an ax, hedge trimmer and safety glasses to dismember the body.

Carbaugh was arraigned Friday on charges including criminal homicide and corpse abuse. He didn’t have a lawyer.
