Honeywell gets $90M rocket launch contract

PHOENIX — Honeywell International Inc. said Friday that it was awarded a $90 million contract for work on a rocket program.

The contract is for avionics for guidance and navigation for the Atlas V rocket. It was awarded by the United Launch Alliance, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Boeing to launch satellites and other equipment into space.

Shares of Honeywell rose two cents to $42.74.
