Poonch (J-K), July 25 (ANI): The Haj Committee in Jammu and Kashmir conducted an orientation camp for prospective Muslim pilgrims from the Poonch region.

The objective of this camp was to enlighten Haj pilgrims on issues concerning rituals to be observed at Mecca and Medina.

“In this camp we guide the pilgrims how to travel to Mecca Medina and then back to their homes. We give full information about their safety and how to tackle problems there, if they come across one, whom they have to call if they have some problem there, about our agent who will be available to help them,” said Mohhamad Ismial, a guide at the orientation camp.

“The Haj pilgrims are being told about what all medical problems and physical problems they can face and if their passport is lost whom they have to contact,” he added.

Abdul Salam, Executive Officer of the Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee, was also present during the training session.

This is the first time that such a familiarisation session was organised for Haj pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir.
