Eaton buys EMC Engineers, terms not disclosed
CLEVELAND — Industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp. has bought EMC Engineers Inc., an engineering firm that focuses on energy efficiency.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
EMC, based in Denver, had sales of $24 million in 2009. It employs 155 people.
The chief operating officer of Eaton’s electrical sector, Thomas S. Gross, said Eaton will be better positioned to meet its customers’ energy needs.
Shares of Eaton fell 40 cents to $68.30 in midday trading.
