Chrysler June sales up year-over-year, but dip from May

June Auto Sales: Chrysler

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler said its June sales jumped 35 percent over last year, but like other automakers, it saw its results sag from May as the economy stumbled.

Chrysler said its Dodge brand led sales, with a 67 percent increase. Sales were also higher in the Chrysler, Jeep and Ram brands.

BY THE NUMBERS: Chrysler sold 92,482 vehicles in June 2010.

TOP SELLER: The Dodge Ram. Chrysler sold 15,864 of the pickup trucks during the month.

HOT MODEL: Sales of the Jeep Avenger rose 177 percent to 6,400.
