SLEEPY HOLLOW (GaeaTimes.com)- Sleepy Hollow has long witnessed a major agricultural movement about which very less people are aware of. Reportedly a local resident; Barbara Carr attached to CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) was the first one who came up for this agricultural movement for all farmers of Sleepy Hollow.
CSA like in all other states of America has facilitated farm operation in Sleepy Hollow by pre-paying for an entire season’s production which helps the consumers as well the producers to derive the maximum out of the entire food production in a particular community. When asked about it, farmer Daniel King told the media that it’s always good to know the source of your food. He also said that people should come and see how the farmers in Sleepy Hollow grow their food. In their effort to bring out the mutual benefits for the consumers as well as for the producers, both Daniel King as well as Barbara Carr have invited all major shareholders to come and be a witness to their effective way of growing food items in the local community. A local organization which has helped Community Supported Agriculture in their operation said that they believe that such a way has helped the community to participate directly in the food production for the entire town.
Jackie Geoghegan who happens to be the shareholder and resident of Sleepy Hollow is one of the most active members of this agricultural movement and has been a part of CSA for three years now. In her opinion, Sleepy Hollow has benefited largely from this unique method of subscription farming which is benevolent for one and all.
