Beau Biden to return to work as Delaware AG

WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden is expected to return to work by the end of the month.

Biden has been out since suffering a mild stroke on May 11. He spent a week at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia before being sent home to continue recuperating.

A spokesman for the attorney general’s office says Biden continues to communicate with the office and should return by the end of June. In the meantime, Biden has talked frequently with Chief Deputy Attorney General Charles Butler and has met with him in person a couple of times.

Biden announced in January that he would not run for the Senate seat his father, Vice President Joe Biden, held for more than 30 years, but instead would seek re-election as attorney general.
