Sen. Scott Brown’s wife leaving Boston TV news job

BOSTON — The wife of U.S. Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts is leaving her longtime job as a Boston television news reporter and will be working at a Washington TV station.

Gail Huff says she is stepping down from WCVB-TV to spend more time with her husband and their daughters, Ayla and Arianna. She calls it one of the most difficult decisions of her career.

Huff says she has accepted a part-time reporting job at WJLA-TV in Washington and plans to split her time between the capital and the family’s Massachusetts home.

Huff did not campaign for her husband and has avoided covering stories about him before and after his upset win in the January special election to succeed the late Sen. Edward Kennedy.
