Security reviewed for upcoming Amarnath Yatra

AMARNATH/SRINAGAR - Security has been reviewed in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of upcoming Amarnath Yatra that will start off next month.

During their meeting, deployment of manpower by various security agencies, communication network, regulation of traffic, parking of vehicles and mobilization on both the Yatra routes of Pahalgam and Baltal were discussed.

“All the arrangements have been made for the Amaranth Yatra. We have had meetings with the district administration in Srinagar and Jammu regarding the security deployment. We are fulfilling all their demands,” said Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Special Director General N K Tripathy on Wednesday.

“I am hopeful that this year also Amaranth yatra will be conducted securely and peacefully,” he added.

Special control rooms will also be set up during the period. (ANI)
