LONDON - Germany has emerged as the winner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Acts from 25 nations rocked the stage during the annual competition, hoping to win votes from across Europe.

Lena, 19, from Germany, did her country proud as she won scoring 246 points with her song Satellite.

“I’m so happy and so thankful and so grateful,” the BBC quoted her, as saying after the win.

Turkey’s MaNga came in second place, with Romania and Denmark taking the third and fourth place respectively.

The UK came last at the event with teen Josh Dubovie raking up just 10 points off a song penned by Pete Waterman. (ANI)
