Afghan insurgent attack kills NATO soldier
KABUL — NATO says one of its service members has died in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan.
The attack happened Sunday in eastern Afghanistan. No further details were released.
The death brings to 12 the number of NATO forces killed this month in Afghanistan.
Violence and insecurity will be on the agenda Monday as President Hamid Karzai meets with American officials in Washington. Karzai’s trip comes after months of rocky relations with the Obama administration.
