Lundberg Survey shows national average gasoline price surges more than 7 cents in 2-week span

US gas prices jump more than 7 cents in 2 weeks

CAMARILLO, Calif. — The average price of regular gasoline in the United States has jumped more than 7 cents over a two-week period to $2.92.

That’s according to the national Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday.

Analyst Trilby Lundberg says the average price for a gallon of mid-grade was $3.05. Premium was at $3.16.

Denver had the lowest average price among cities surveyed at $2.71 a gallon for regular unleaded. Chicago was highest at $3.22.

The average for diesel nationwide was $3.15, up about 7 cents from two weeks ago.
