Country star BRAD PAISLEY has posted photos of his waterlogged equipment and stage gear on his Twitter.com page.

The Celebrity singer was among those badly effected by last weekend’s (01-02May10) Tennessee storms, which flooded large part of the state.

Guitars and amplifiers Paisley stored in Nashville were caught up in the worst floods and much of the gear spent a large part of the week underwater.

Paisley is now desperately trying to salvage what he can for upcoming tour dates, including shows in Virginia and Washington, D.C. on 21 and 22 May (10).

In a post on his Twitter.com blog, the singer/songwriter writes, “I am so inspired by my crew, they are on a mission right now.rallying to get this thing working by Va Beach. I am surrounded by true class.”

Paisley hopes to turn his warped and battered instruments into art, stating, “Somebody had a great idea to make artwork out of these ruined guitars and auction ‘em for charity. I like that.”

Meanwhile, Paisley has received a personal call from U.S. President Barack Obama, assuring his “friend” that he plans to do all he can to help those hit by the floods.

Paisley appeared on U.S. news channel CNN on Thursday night (06May10) and assured country music fans that the show will go on at the flooded Grand Ole Opry mecca in Nashville, and he’ll be a part of an upcoming telethon to aid the city’s flood victims.

Music City Keep On Playin’ will air live on the Great American Country TV channel on 16 May (10) from the Ryman Auditorium.
