Pa. high school student latest booted off ‘Idol’

LOS ANGELES — Aaron Kelly won’t be doing it his way on “American Idol” anymore.

The plucky 17-year-old high school student from Sonestown, Pa., was eliminated from the ninth season of the Fox singing competition Wednesday.

Kelly received the fewest viewer votes following his meek interpretation of Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” on Tuesday’s Chairman of the Board-themed performance show.

Joining him in the bottom two were 26-year-old personal trainer Michael Lynche of Queens, N.Y., who was unamiously rescued by the show’s judges three weeks ago.

Lynche wowed the judges with his soulful rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.”
