Force Protection wins $24 million Marine contract

LADSON, S.C. — Force Protection Inc. said Tuesday that the U.S. Marine Corps is buying 30 of its mine-resistant Cougar armored vehicles for $24 million.

The company’s stock fell 21 cents, or 3.7 percent, to $5.44 in afternoon trading amid a broad market slump Tuesday.
