JoS. A. Bank Clothiers gets into tuxedo business

HAMPSTEAD, Md. — JoS. A. Bank will expand its tuxedo rental business to 300 stores beginning this month, and plans to have tuxedos in all of its stores by the end of the third quarter.

The men’s clothing retailer said it decided to expand the line based on the level of business at 32 stores which began renting tuxedos in January.

CEO R. Neal Black said the company allows people to rent tuxedoes in one location and return them to another. Any store has the ability to check on the status of any customer’s order.

The company has 476 stores.

Shares of JoS. A. Bank Clothiers Inc. rose $1.08 to $61.94 in afternoon trading Monday.
