POONCH - Security forces have seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch District.

Acting on tip-off, a joint team of army and police, recovered arms and ammunitions from Nangali forest in Poonch district.

The recoveries include one AK 56, two AK 47, two AK magazines, two Chinese pistols, one pistol magazine, 242 Pika rounds, and one ground sheet.

“This recovery has been made from a dense forest area in Nangali. A very crucial source gave us information about this, which helped us to bust this hideout,” said Abhijeet Chandera, Commanding Officer 19 Raj Rifles.

“Beyond the border and LoC there is presence of militants at all launch pads. We are getting the information and thus we are all on high alert. We firmly believe that the deployment and alertness of our army personnel and placement of our surveillance equipments would not let any terrorist or anti-national element step into our land. And even if he tires to do so he would be killed,” he added. (ANI)
