Prudential Financial unit names Flesaker to post
NEWARK, N.J. — Prudential Financial Inc.’s fixed income division named Bjorn Flesaker as managing director and head of quantitative modeling.
Flesaker will lead the company’s quantitative research as well as the group that develops models to assist traders and portfolio managers in identifying investments. The group also works with risk managers to quantify risks within investment portfolios.
Flesaker previously served as a senior member of Bloomberg LP’s quantitative research group and was also a credit derivatives business manager.
At Prudential he will report to Arvind Rajan, managing director and head of quantitative research and risk management for the fixed income unit.
Prudential Financial’s stock dropped 36 cents to $62.48 in afternoon trading.
