Dallas cabbie fatally shot, 2 hurt; gunman sought
DALLAS — Police are searching for a gunman who fired into a taxi in Dallas, killing the cabbie and wounding two passengers.
Sr. Cpl. Janice Crowther says witnesses reported that the shooting followed an argument at a strip club early Monday.
Crowther says two men involved in the disturbance got into the taxi and were driven way. A person in another vehicle then pulled up next to the cab and opened fire.
Crowther says the two wounded passengers dumped the cabbie along the road and drove themselves to the hospital in the taxi.
Emergency personnel took the cabbie to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.
Crowther says the passengers were treated and released, then both were arrested on unrelated charges. She did not elaborate.
