Dharamshala Stadium Holding IPL Matches

HIMACHAL PRADESH, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Himachal Pradesh hosted the first ever IPL matches in the state on April 16th. Prem Kumar Dhumal, the CM of the state formally inaugurated the first IPL 20Twenty match at the Dharamshala cricket stadium. The event was watched by thousands of cricket lovers. The first match played in the stadium was between the teams Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab. On Saturday, the players of the teams met Dalai Lama. Lalit Modi, the IPL chief was also with the players when they went to meet the spiritual leader. After meeting Dalai Lama at his palace the Deccan Chargers left the town.
It has been reported that Dalai Lama will preside as the chief guest for the IPL match to be held on Sunday between the teams Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. The stadium is hogging the media focus now. It is indeed one of the marvelous playing grounds in the country. The residents of Dharamshala are pretty excited about the two IPL matches. However, they have other reasons to feel good about. The regional business men are of the opinion that IPL matches may boost its prospects of business and spearhead tourism in Himachal Pradesh.
The residents of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh have never seen so many international players together at the place. There is a possibility of rainfall during the IPL match which is going to be held today. The regional met office gave such an indication earlier. However, the prediction has not been able to dampen the spirit of the cricket lovers in the place. They are expected to flock to the stadium, come rain or lightening!
